If you are new to Cub Scouts, this page will give you an overview of our organizational structure and regular meetings. Contact the Cubmaster for further information.
Pack Structure
Cub Scout Pack 17 is made up of multiple dens. A den is a small group of Cub Scouts in the same grade level.
Kindergarten = Lion Den
1st grade = Tiger Den
2nd grade = Wolf Den
3rd grade = Bear Den
4th grade = Webelos I Den
5th grade = Webelos II Den
Pack Meetings
The Cub Scout Pack meets once/twice per month, with meetings led by the scoutmaster.
Meetings occur in the gymnasium at Sylvan Park Elementary School on Monday evenings.
During meetings, the Pack breaks into Dens for small group meetings and activities in the following locations:
Lion Den = Classroom
Tiger Den = Gym
Wolf Den = Art Room
Bear Den = Auditorium
Webelos I Den = Cafeteria
Webelos II Den = Auditorium
Pack Membership
Pack membership involves yearly registration fees.
Multiple fundraising opportunities are available to offset fees, making participation as open as possible for anyone to join.
If you have concerns about finances, we have resources to help cover the membership fees, and we have some hand-me-down uniforms. We wouldn't want any scout to miss out due to financial hardship. If you would like assistance, please contact us.

Scout Attire / Uniforms
For our regular meetings, scouts may wear either a Scout uniform shirt (collared shirt with badges) or our blue Pack 17 cub scout t-shirt. Official Scout pants/shorts/socks aren't necessary.
